Even J.Lo has body doubts!
Jennifer Lopez was looking through photos of herself with the ladies ofThe View on Thursday when she said she looked “chunky” in a recent selfie.
“I was a little bit on the chunky side there, as you can see,” Lopez said, shocking Raven-Symoné – who jokingly threw up her hands and walked away from her chair – and the other women.
“Do you need us to show you what chunky looks like?” Whoopi Goldbergteasingly asked. “This a little bit on the chunky side, okay Jennifer? This is not the chunky side,” she said while pointing to herself and then back at Lopez.
Lopez, 46, quickly clarified her statement, laughing and explaining that her body doesn’t always look as ripped as it does in some of herInstagram posts.
“I fluctuate, I fluctuate! I go up and down about 7 to 8 lbs. all the time, you know what I mean?” Lopez said.
Lopez, who is gearing up for the second run of her Las Vegas residency, added that her weight tends to shift based on her performance schedule.
“When I’m doing the show, I go down, I get slim, and then when I stop I’m eating – and I get chunky,” she said. “Not chunky, but you feel it. For a dancer.”
Lopez also talked about switching up her workouts while her “All I Have” show is going on.
“I love to run. I still enjoy it, but right now because of the Las Vegas show, dancing is a big part of my workout and cardio. I do low impact cardio because it’s so much dancing,” she said.
And even if she occasionally feels “chunky,” Lopez knows how to embrace it. The Shades of Blue star told PEOPLE editorial director Jess Cagle what she’s learned to love about herself.
“That I’m flawed,” she said. “I actually love that part now … I used to hate it because I’m such a perfectionist.”
