Bastille announced the release date for Wild World, the anticipated follow-up to their smash 2013 debut Bad Blood. The "Pompeii" rockers will unleash the 14-track World on Sept. 9 (as well as a 19-track deluxe version), preceded by the first single, "Good Grief." Those who pre-order the album will get the single, which was the No. 1 Most Added at Alternative and Triple A Radio in its first week.

In a note to fans, singer/songwriter Dan Smith wrote, "We have been working non-stop on 'Wild World' for the last few years + are so excited for you to finally hear it in a few months. Not long to go! Thank you for all your patience + support. We hope you like the album cover as much as we do... I can't believe we managed to pull it off in spite of everything."

Speaking about that nausea-inducing cover, Smith added, "to me, the image isn't about what's just happened or what happens next. It's not about how they got there or how they get down. It's about sharing a moment - two friends existing in that split second in that exact space, two people framed in the vast context of this huge mad metropolis that we've all built. They're there out of choice."

The band also announced their first string of U.S. and international dates, which include a string of arena gigs.
